RPES Strengthens Home-School Partnership Through ARAL Orientation
Rafael Palma Elementary School (RPES) held its Parent Orientation on the implementing guidelines for the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning {ARAL} Program last September 15, 2025.
The program began with the preliminaries and was followed by opening remarks from the school principal, Ms. Ivy A. Tanglao. In her message, she explained that the ARAL Program is a nationwide initiative mandated by the President and implemented by the Department of Education.
She shared that this year’s focus will be on Reading, while Mathematics and Science may be included in the next school year. Ma’am Ivy also explained how the program aims to help learners strengthen their foundational and comprehension skills, which are essential for success in all subjects.
The school head also reminded parents of their important role in supporting their children’s learning. Since the ARAL sessions will be held once a week for one hour per learner, she encouraged everyone to ensure attendance and maintain communication with teachers to track each child’s progress. Ma’am Gaid also discussed how learners were selected for the program and described how the sessions will be conducted.
Further discussions were led by Master Teacher and Grade 6 Adviser Ms. Ma. Veronica M. Ricerra, she expounded on the process of implementing the ARAL Program while Ms. Bernette P. Bacong Teacher III introduced the ARAL Tutors, who will guide and support the learners throughout the sessions.
