Before the implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program-Milk Component, was the preparation of data – list of beneficiaries and the nutritional assessment of the pupils which comprises 28 severely wasted, 69 wasted and 8 kindergarten pupils. Hence, our school created a technical working group, headed by Mario T. Endico, principal, I, Cheryle D. Antipuesto RPES feeding focal person, Catherine E. Santos, GPTA President, Mark Anthony T. Macawile, school nurse and several parent volunteers.
As standard operation procedure, the parents signed a waiver before the milk distribution which started last November 17, 2020 and ended December 15, 2020. Pictures were taken during the distribution and during drinking milk at home, too.
The technical working group conducted information dissemination on Nutrition Education during implementation of the undertaking.
The fact that covid 19 is a continuous threat to humanity, the technical working group implemented the SBFP- Milk Component observing health and safety protocols mandated by the IATF.
Thus, the technical working group’s implementation of the program was efficiently accomplished because of the cooperation of the stakeholders.
